Tabby - Brown - Help Free Ivy From Her Cage! - Small - Young
Ivy has tested positive for leukemia so we are looking for a home with experience caring for cats with special needs. Ivy is the most fabulous feline!! When we first heard about her last December, she was living in the cold behind a gas station eating out of the dumpster & garbage cans. Luckily, we rescued her right before a snow storm hit! When we took her to get spayed, she ended up testing positive for leukemia. We just did a second test 6 weeks later, and that too was positive, so we need to find her a home with other leukemia cats (or no other cats) since the virus can be spread through sharing food bowls & litterboxes. Ivy is very healthy right now and asymptomatic (she does need food for a sensitive stomach). She had a bad case of dermatitis when we first found her, but it has completely healed and she has gained over a pound since being rescued. She can live for many more years with the proper care (good food & low stress!). She is a little bitty kitty (small frame,7 lbs), extremely playful (can be a bit on the rough side but that can easily change with some training), loves to curl up on warm laps, love her cardboard scratch pads & toys, is fine with dogs, and is just an overall great cat! She is currently living in a cage in her foster home due to the other cats in the house & only gets out a few minutes a day to exercise & cuddle. Please help free Ivy from her cage - she is dying to get out to run & play & sleep on a warm lap! She truly deserves her own home! Ivy has been spayed, micro-chipped, rabies vaccinated, has had Revolution & been dewormed. She is approx one year old. Her adoption fee is $50.00 She eats both dry & canned food & gets l-lysine daily to boost her immune system.
